HistoryMaker Homes underwent a full rebrand in 2024, since then I have been fortunate enough to work with them as their in-house Graphic Designer creating marketing and promotional materials though numerous elements of design. From community specific signage, print, digital, to social media and monthly campaigns, there was always a multitude of work that needed to get designed and approved efficiently.

Rebrand

The rebrand for HistoryMaker Homes reflects a modernized vision that celebrates the company's legacy while aligning with the evolving needs of today’s homebuyers. The refreshed logo and color palette exude a balance of warmth and professionalism, representing a commitment to quality and community. Updated design elements and messaging emphasize approachability, innovation, and family-centric values, creating a cohesive identity that resonates across all touchpoints, from digital platforms to community signage.

The rebrand positions HistoryMaker Homes as a forward-thinking leader in residential construction, making homeownership accessible and meaningful for a new generation of buyers while honoring the brand's established reputation.

From the outset of the rebrand, our goal was to more accurately convey the brand’s dedication to quality and family-focused values. We transitioned brochures, flyers, and booklets from playful fonts and a mix of colors to a refined presentation that highlights high-quality images of HMH exteriors, featured floor plans, and new branded elements. This shift allows prospective buyers to truly envision the craftsmanship and attention to detail showcased in our collateral.

The layouts are clean and visually appealing, with clear fonts and engaging colors that mirror the brand’s approachable, professional tone. Testimonials, community highlights, and key selling points are prominently displayed to offer a comprehensive, informative experience. Every piece of print collateral reinforces HistoryMaker Homes’ mission to make the home-buying process inspiring, easy, and accessible for all families.

Email, Social, & Web

The graphical content for HistoryMaker Homes across email, social media, and the web reflects the brand's commitment to quality, community, and family-centered living. Through web pages and social media posts, the spotlight is placed on beautifully designed homes, neighborhood amenities, and heartfelt customer testimonials, offering an engaging and genuine glimpse into life within a HistoryMaker community.

Engaging videos and interactive virtual tours on the HistoryMaker Homes’ main webpage allow followers to explore floor plans and interiors from anywhere, while timely updates on new developments, promotions, and local events keep the audience informed and excited. The tone is warm and approachable, creating a welcoming online space that mirrors the brand’s commitment to helping families find their perfect home.

Signage

Redesigning community signage was a top priority during the rebranding process. Extensive time and effort went into updating billboards, amenity signs, 2x2s, 4x8s, construction signage, HMH-branded elements, and additional displays. My focus was on steering HMH signage toward a modern aesthetic that mirrors the welcoming and family-friendly vibe of their neighborhoods. By incorporating bold yet refined colors and distinctive fonts, the new designs strike a balance between professionalism and a sense of fun, making them both approachable and visually appealing.

The logo and brand name are prominently displayed, often accompanied by an exterior shot of the model home, along with messaging varying based on the community and its location. These signs serve as a landmark, inviting residents and visitors alike into a space that embodies quality, community, and comfort—core values of HistoryMaker Homes.
